The Lennox Smart Room Sensor is a room temperature balancing sensor for the Lennox S40 Smart Thermostat. It helps you dial in a more perfect environment by providing accurate temperature and humidity readings to the Lennox S40 Smart Thermostat and telling it how to balance temperatures across the rooms where the sensor is placed.

And it isn't just about perfectly balanced comfort; it can also help you save energy. When a room is in use, occupancy sensors keep your set temperature. When it's not, the sensors revert to a more energy efficient temperature.

This product is designed to pair with the Lennox S40 Smart Thermostat as part of a fully communicating home comfort system. The Lennox Smart Room Sensor is discrete, completely wireless, and thanks to its versatility and portability, installs in minutes.

How It Works

Install the Lennox Smart Thermostat App which, connected to the Lennox S40 Smart Thermostat, allows you to monitor, control, and balance room temperatures from anywhere

Customize your comfort by adjusting your sensor participation settings. During the busiest time of the day when your Lennox Smart Room Sensor is active, you may want to have multiple sensors participating; for example one in the living room and one in the office.

Decide if you prefer the occupancy sensor be on or off. If you choose off, the temperatures will consistently be averaged between the main thermostat and the Smart Room Sensors.
Go to Menu > Settings > Devices and look for the sensor you want to disable, select sensor and turn “OFF”.
  • OFF - When the occupancy feature is turned off, the thermostat will always include the sensor in temperature averaging.
  • ON - When the occupancy feature is turned ON, the thermostat will only include the sensor in temperature averaging if the room is occupied.
The estimated two-year battery life is based on the use of AA lithium batteries only.
